Another trip to Sippy Creek Animal Refuge on Tuesday the 22nd June 2010 saw Roxie, Bobbie, Scoota and Scotty transferred to their wonderful facility. Carmel and Kim drove the four littles down and had many laughs on the way.
Pictured is Roxie co-piloting the operation. Other photographs taken at the rest area on the way. We wish all four a very happy future. We know they are in great hands. It was also good to catch up with the Sippy Creek intake officer, Kim and also to find out about the other pets we had transferred there in the past. Kim, our Secretary, was dying to find out how ’Steffy the Staffy’ was going. Steffy had been transferred to Sippy Creek quite some time ago after being reared by Kim whilst she was Caretaker of the Maryborough Animal Refuge. Steffy needed her eye operated on and needed de-sexing, all of which was done by Sippy Creek. How delighted Kim was to learn that Steffy was now owned by one of the valuable volunteers at the Sippy Creek Refuge and was actually visiting that day.
We would like to again thank all the wonderful staff at the Sippy Creek Animal Refuge for the assistance they have given us to date.
- Treasurer Phillipa Rouse and Committee Member Pam Lopez arrived early to a Committee Meeting armed with scrubbing brushes, buckets, bleach etc and donned overalls and wellies and other suitable attire before getting into the cat cages. What happy cats they were by the end of the 3 hours of hard yakka. A big ‘Thank You’ to you both from the kitties and Carmel.
