Penny was noticed as a stray in Old Maryborough Road, Pialba in Hervey Bay, roaming with a very small kitten. She was seen again in the area some time later with the kitten which had grown quite a lot. Responsible residents befriended the mother and left food and water for her however her kitten remained cautious of human contact. Eventually, after contact with Pet Warriors, the mother and kitten were caught and moved to a foster parent where they are now settled in and looking for a home of their own. The kitten’s name is Tuppence and she is delightful. Still cautious, she now sits on the office desk whilst the foster parent is on the computer, and also plays around her feet. Penny will be desexed prior to rehoming. Penny is now re-homed but Tuppence is still available.
