Penny was noticed as a stray in Old Maryborough Road, Pialba in Hervey Bay, roaming with a very small kitten. She was seen again in the area some time later with the kitten which had grown quite a lot. Responsible residents befriended the mother and left food and water for her however her kitten remained cautious of human contact. Eventually, after contact with Pet Warriors, the mother and kitten were caught and moved to a foster parent where they are now settled in and looking for a home of their own. The kitten’s name is Tuppence and she is delightful. Still cautious, she now sits on the office desk whilst the foster parent is on the computer, and also plays around her feet. Penny will be desexed prior to rehoming. Penny is now re-homed but Tuppence is still available.

July 30th, 2010Jake- a lovely boy
June 2nd, 2010
Jake is a handsome dog who is 5 months old and deaf.
His deafness doesn’t stop him from learning to come, sit, lie-down and roll-over, which his foster carer has taught him. He is very intelligent and deaf dogs focus on their owners with no sounds to distract them. Jake will need a bit of watching when out and about for his safety.
Lizzie – Female cat
February 1st, 2010
UPDATE 13/7/2010:- Lizzie has been moved back to Pet Warriors from the Maryborough Animal Refuge where she spent some months without finding a home. She is currently residing with George, 18 years, Buttons 6 yrs, Horse 5 years and Prince 8 months. If you are looking for a cat to pamper for the rest of her life, please give us a call.
Lizzie was picked up at the Maryborough Pound and taken home by a carer. She was skinny, her hair was in poor condition and we wondered how she would turn out. She was immunised and wormed and has filled out very well. She tolerates other cats if introduced correctly. She is a truly lovely cat.
Pirate – Ginger DSH
November 28th, 2009
Meet Pirate, a handsome young male cat. Pirate is friendly with other cats and just loves a pat from people. Pirate’s left foot has been amputated – it is unknown how this happened but he still gets around just fine. He would make a loving addition to your family.
‘Pussy’ – mature aged de-sexed cat
November 23rd, 2009
Pussy had to be surrended by her loving family due to one of her owners contracting a severe breathing allergy to cats. With broken hearts they left her at the foster mums home, tears shedding as they left. Pussy is a polite, well mannered lady who is looking for a loving home to spend the rest of her life. She is in perfect health, requiring no medical care or treatment. Anyone wishing to meet her with a view to adoption, or fostering, please make contact through the email address on the ‘contact us’ page.
