Animals in Need

Cinder

Cinder

Hope had run out for Cinder & her sweet souled this festive season. Dumped for dead at the Maryborough Cemetery, their unwanted mother led them to assumed refuge in a nearby fig tree, that without food or water, would soon become their early grave. Unlikely Pet Warriors, visiting an unfrequented area of the Cemetery were drawn to a beautiful mother & child angel statue, when they stumbled along the kittens mother, weak & helpless, without hope & came to her rescue taking her home to a warm bed & a full belly. Upon realising she was lactating they returned concerned to the Cemetery the following day to search amongst the hundreds of trees & lonely graves in hope her babies ending wasn’t a cruel one. After searching aimlessly with no luck they were about to call it a day. Though as fate would have it, when all hope was lost, the Warriors heard a weary cry for help from above. Four little frightened faces in a tree presented themselves to the Warriors below & within minutes were in the arms of safety & on their way to be reunited with their exhausted Mum just in time for Happy New Year. (These are the lucky ones) She is believed to be around 7 weeks of age & is affectionate, playful & is litter trained.

Raj

December 20th, 2011

Meet darling heart, Raj. He hasn’t had the best start in life & we don’t believe he has been treated very affectionately before coming into our care as he shakes & cowers when touched in certain areas. He is a sweet boy who gets along well with other dogs & cats & is not aggressive despite his worried nature. He can be quite timid & isn’t sure about being picked up or cuddled but in his own time will find his way beside you on the couch for a gentle pat. Without a doubt, with time, patience & lots of love, Raj will learn that cuddles aren’t such a bad thing & that kind people exist to love him. Raj is an absolutely gorgeous, gentle & quiet lad looking for a loving & patient forever family.

Lucky

December 20th, 2011

Another pooch that hasn’t had the best start in life is.. ‘Lucky’ - & his name suits him very so. Dumped for dead, luckily the Pound found him before any crueller fate could. In another turn of fate his ‘D-day’ was postponed just enough for Pet Warriors to be able to save his life! Lucky is a beautiful, meek sweetheart who just wants to be loved & to love. He is believed to be a Border Collie mix & around 7 months of age. Are there any forever families out there wanting to spoil him rotten & make up for all the heart ache? Lucky is an intelligent, gentle & well behaved lad that is very eager to please.

Artie

December 18th, 2011
Teeny Artie

Meet Artie! A 6 week young Border Collie x Retriever little lad. Artie is a sweet little soul. He came into our care in poor condition, quite malnourished with a very bad infestation of worms. At 6 weeks of age, he weighs only a few hundred grams when most puppies of his breed & age should be a least a few kilos. He has a loyal & loving nature, happy to follow you around & be your reliable shadow. He is relaxed around other dogs, cats & really loves kids. If his breed serves him right, he will grow to be a happy go lucky, active boy that will thrive on daily walks & trips to the park. We are looking for an extra special forever family for Artie that will make up for all the pain in the beginning & nurture him back to good mind, body & spirit. Adoption Fee: $250 – Desexed, Microchipped & Vaccinated.

Ben

December 13th, 2011

Ben is a mastiff cross puppy & loves to follow you around like a shadow! Ben is an absolutely gorgeous puppy! He loves children and adults alike & just wants to give love & be loved. He is gentle, soft natured, loves cuddles and is a very quick learner. He has learned to sit, give his paw and drop in just 3 days thanks to his dedicated foster Mum, Yvonne! He also walks very well on the lead. He is a bit nervous of shopping bags, shopping trolleys and other dogs but with some further socialisation this will improve. Ben would fit in well with a responsible family who will shower him with love and attention.

Cha Cha
Cha Cha

Cisco is a pound rescue who is rapidly adjusting to his new freedom and beach walks. He is still a bit timid but he is quickly learning that life can be filled with fun, games and cuddles. He enjoys sitting on the couch and playing games with fluffy toys etc. He is quickly learning to walk on a lead and we think walking on a lead may be a totally new experience for him. Cisco doesn’t run away when let off the lead at the beach and he is friendly and sociable. He stands 25cm tall at the shoulder and is a handsome young man awaiting a loving forever home. (He even came and woke me up to let him out to go to the loo. How good is that!).

Kitten season is in top gear & Fraser Coast Pet Warriors currently have many kittens in need of forever & foster homes within the local community.

Please send us an email – fcpetwarriors@hotmail.com if you are able to assist these beautiful fur babies!

Through no fault of their own, many kittens & their mothers have become ‘unwanted’.. If you can, please help us give them a second chance & prevent them from becoming a euthanasia statistic.
